Consumers should keep in mind that cloth and surgical masks do not block small particle transmission and, primarily, help to prevent large particle transmission, from people speaking for example. These need to be washed regularly if they are cloth (daily at minimum) and disposed of properly, if disposable (sealed in a plastic bag).
